PBP & MFT Collaboration - Hello Bootiful!

Friday, August 28, 2020

Oh happy day everyone!!

It's collaboration day for Pear Blossom Press & My Favorite Things!! YAY!

Isn't this card so fun?  I just love Halloween.  This card looks a lot more complicated than it really is.

I started by ink blending my background with Seedless Preserves, Carved Pumpkin, and Wild Honey.  I cut my black hills freehand.  I stamped and die cut my bats from the Ghostly Greeting Stamp & Die sets. I poked a hole in the middle of my paper and strung my EZ-Lights through.

Before you glue everything down test your EZ-Lights to make they are working correctly.

I cut all my remaining pieces for my card with my Gemini.  I cut the haunted house and trees from the Haunted House Die-namics set.  The ghosts are from the Ghostly Greeting stamp set & the  Ghostly Greetings Die-namic set. I trimmed out a piece of computer paper to fit behind the haunted house and colored it yellow for the lighted windows. I pulled the EZ-Lights through the door and taped them in place in the window frame.

I turned the card front over and taped down all my wires.  I also glued the push button and battery house down where I wanted the push here on my card.

I loaded it down with double thick foam tape from Pear Blossom Press.  You have to try this stuff.  The release paper comes off SO easy and the double thickness is perfect for your EZ-Lights.

Attach you card front to your card base and attach all your pieces and voila you are done.  Wasn't that easy?  Below is the inside.  I stamped Hello Bootiful! in the middle of the card and I stamped some more bats from the Ghostly Greeting set.  I finished it off with a couple spiderwebs from Boo Crew stamp set.

Above is one more look at the finished card.  I love that I could still add all of the fun pieces to the inside of the card.  It's like the card that keeps on giving. LOL

Love You!

Thursday, August 20, 2020
Oh happy day everyone!!

I am popping by today to share another card I made using alcohol inks from Tim Holtz and Ranger. Isn't it fun?  It reminds me of smoke ... kind of sultry, a perfect love you card.

I started by using my Yupo paper to add mu alcohol ink to.  I went with the color Slate.  I love how once it spreads it give the look of multiple colors being used. I spread the ink across my paper diagonally.  I mounted my inked panel to a black card base.  I added the sentiment "love you" from CZ Design and Simon Says Stamp.

As you can see above the close up of the Slate alcohol ink and the multiple colors it creates when spread out.  I finished my card by adding a few red hearts I fussy cut out and popped up with foam tape. It is from the stamp set  - Love You More from The Rabbit Hole Designs. I also added a few clear water drops

Here is one more look a the finished card.  I absolutely love how it turned out.  I know my hubby will love it ... when I finally give it to him LOL. If you have not tried alcohol inks ...
TRY IT!!
You will have so much fun I promise!

Thank you for spending some of your crafty time with me!!

Until next time ... hugs & inky fingers!

Hello!

Monday, August 17, 2020
Oh happy day everyone!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I am sharing a fun card I made today with alcohol inks.

Isn't this card so fun??  OYupo paperI started by using the three new shades of green alcohol inks from Tim Holtz and Ranger.  They are my favorite greens by far.  I used blending solution and my ink blower to move the ink around.   After it dried I added a rectangle border I made using two rectangle dies to make a frame. I die cut two hello's one in black and one in white.  I glued the two together and added it to the center of my card.

As you can see up close the off set hello makes it look like there is a shadow behind the white hello.  It is an easy little trick to add dimension to your card. Doesn't this card make a big impact with little effort?

Here is another look at my finished card ...

I have so much fun playing with these alcohol inks.  If you have never given it a try you should ... they are addictive. I will be sharing another card tomorrow.  A smoky one if you will ...

Thank you for spending some of your crafty time with me!!

Until next time ... hugs & inky fingers!
