Ai - Shaker Card Challenge

Thursday, June 27, 2019
Hello Ai Fans!!

I am here today to share a card I made for the current Art Impressions challenge.  This time it is Shaker Cards!!

I am so in love with this Succulent set ... you have no idea! I colored and cut out my Succulents and set them aside to make my card. I started by die cutting my scalloped circle in kraft card stock. I added a sentiment strip with the sentiment "Sending Hugs" from the same Succulent set

As you can see I used black tulle instead of acetate. It really lets the sequins move around;   as you can see in the next couple of pictures.

Unlike acetate the tulle used two layers. There is a layer in the front and back so they don't go anywhere. So basically they are sandwiched in.

Can you see above how they all just fall?  This works especially well if you have bulky bits of thick sequins and such.

I added the card panel to my card base with foam tape. I finished up by adding my Succulents and my sequins. What do you think?  Do you like the tulle?  Tulle comes in so many colors and is rather cheap to purchase.
COPICS Used:

V01, V04, V06 V15, V17, V99

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Make sure you play along with the current Art Impressions challenge ... you can win something awesome!

Until next time ... Hugs & inky fingers!

The Rabbit Hole Designs - Caffeinated Narwhal

Wednesday, June 26, 2019
I am back for The Rabbit Hole Designs July release. We are on day 3 of the inspirational hop.

They are releasing 3 new stamp sets this week and you
do not want to miss out on any of them! This is the 3rd set of the three.
.
Today's stamp set is called Caffeinated Narwhal

I do have 2 cards to share with you today using the Caffeinated Narwhal stamp set.

Here is a look at the images in the set:

Isn't she just the cutest Narwhal you have ever seen?

Here is my first card ...

I started by using a white card base A2 size. I layered a black piece size .25" smaller.  Instead of centering the layer I off-set it to the left.  I stenciled my background on my white too piece..  I stamped my sentiment "#stabby" centered to the right.

I added my Copic colored Narwhal to the right of the card. I finished it off with rainbow colored confetti sequins.

Now onto my second card ...

I stenciled a sunburst to the center of my top folding note card. I added the coffee molecule twice to my background.  I stamped the image "Coffee makes me narly" from the Caffeinated Narwhal stamp set.

I added my Copic colored Narwhal directly to the center so it looks like the sunbeam is glowing around her. I finished it with some more of the rainbow confetti sequins in my stash.

Here they are together ... Isn't  she cute??

Now onto the fun stuff ...

The Rabbit Hole Designs - Cattitude

Tuesday, June 25, 2019
I am back for The Rabbit Hole Designs July release. We are on day 2 of the inspirational hop.

They are releasing 3 new stamp sets this week  and you
do not want to miss out on any of them!
.
Today's stamp set is called Cattitude

I do have 2 cards to share with you today using the Cattitude stamp set.

Here is a look at the images in the set:

Here is my first card I am sharing today ...

I masked off part of the cat to get the plus sign image for my background.  I stamped it in multiple colors. I love the confetti look it gives . I added the background piece to red card stock so it framed it a little.  I cut around the cats arm so I could place the string underneath it so he could hold it.  I glues my ball of yarn to the card and up to my sentiment.  I used "Hope you're feline fine soon!" from the Cattitude stamp set.

I balled up some mint green bakers twine to make a ball of yarn for the cat to play with.  It is probably the size of a gumball if I had to compare it to something.

Here is my second card I am sharing today ...

I started by masking the circle in the center and ink blending the background with my yellow and orange ink.  I stamped the little mouse and small paw print in a circle and raised my cat up with foam tape. I stamped "No kitten ... I miss you!" from the Cattitude stamp set. I finished it  with some small glitter confetti pieces I had.

I love how my ink blending turned out on the card.  You never know what you are going to get when you ink blend.

Here they both are together ... Which is your favorite?  Once again ... I LOVE how my ball of string turned out on the first card.  Sometimes I amaze myself LOL.

Now onto the good stuff ...

The Rabbit Hole Designs - Doggone

Monday, June 24, 2019
Are you excited for The Rabbit Hole Designs July release?
I know I am!! This is my first official release week post. YAY!!

They are releasing 3 new stamp sets over
the next 3 days and you do not want to miss out on any of them!
I am a MAJOR dog lover & I hope you are too.
Today's stamp set is called Doggone
I was having so much fun playing with this stamp set that I didn't want to quit.
I do have 2 cards to share with you today using the Doggone stamp set.

Here is a look at the images in the set:

Here is my first card ...

I started by stamping the large and small print randomly on my Neenah White 100# card stock.  I attached it to my Smoky Shadow card base.  I wanted to add a little color pop so I divided the two with a Pure Poppy strip of paper cut to .25".  I added a scalloped circle and a stitched white circle to my base.

I colored my cute Schnauzer from the Doggone stamp set with my Copics in C1, C3, and C5. I cut him out with my Scan-N-Cut.  I raised him up with a action wobbler.  I finished it off with my sentiment from the Doggone stamp set.  It says "Doggone it! I miss you!

My second card ...

I used the same cute Schnauzer. I colored him the same ... Copics C1, C3, and C5. I cut him out with my Scan-N-Cut.  I set him aside while I worked on my background. I started with a black card base.  I used Just Green ink to stencil my sunburst and my paw prints from the Doggone stamp set. I used the sentiment from the Doggone stamp set that says   "Paws-ing to say ... thanks!" I attached my Schnauzer and finished it off with some green confetti sequins.

Here is a close up of the green starburst and paw prints.  I love how this color combo  turned out. In certain light the sequin appears blue ... but they are green.  I pinkie promise!

Here they are together ... which is your favorite?

I love how both of them turned out.  Now onto all of the good stuff ...

Ai - Desert Window Frame

Wednesday, June 19, 2019
Hello Ai fans!!

"To my friend ... The warmest of wished for a day filled with sunshine"

I am sharing a quick card/gift for someone special. I am using the Desert Window from Ai along with the 3D Frame die.

As you can see there isn't much to this card.  It is nice to make something that doesn't require a million steps to create something beautiful.  This literally didn't even take one full sheet of paper.

I colored my Desert Window stamped image with my Copic markers.  I loved using the variation of pinks for the sky and the reflection onto the ground and water.  Don't be afraid to try something new with your markers.  Out of the whole process the coloring took me the longest.

I cut a piece of paper with the 3D frame die.  Make sure though to use a piece a little wider than 5.5".  I cut mine at 6" to be safe.  and my die fit perfect.  Once you have the shape cut, the directions on the package of the 3D Frame die are very easy to follow and you can exactly see where to fold everything.  Once everything is glued in the stand is very easy to put on as seen above.  The only tip I have is do not flush it with the bottom of your square, raise it up a little so when it stands it leans a tiny bit back and not so perfectly straight up and down.

Once again here is the finished card, or should I say gift?  I know the perfect person I am giving this to.  It will look great at work on her desk.  Everyone needs a little something to look at that brightens their day!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I can't wait to spend more time with you soon!

Copics used:
E43, E44
G43, G46

RV11, RV13, RV14

YG13, YG17

Until next time ... Hugs & inky fingers!
