TRHD - Caffeinated Giraffe

Hello everyone!

It's Niccole from Nic & Viv Designs back again to share another card I made using one of

The Rabbit Hole Designs stamp sets.

For today's card I used the

Caffeinated Giraffe Stamp Set

Weird Science Stencil

Isn't this giraffe just the cutest you have ever seen? I just love him to pieces. Keep reading to see how I colored him and what products I used for my card.

How to create this card:

4.25 x 5.5" white card base
Stenciled the Weird Science Stencil onto the card base with Crackling Campfire Distress Ink
I stamped and colored my Giraffe with Copic markers.
Copic used: B000, B01, B12, B14, B16, E31, E33, E35, E37, E39, E44, R24, R27, R29, W0, W1, W3, W5, Y35
I fussy cut him out with my scissors.
I stamped my sentiment from the Caffeinated Giraffe Stamp Set
Added the W Copics to the ground for depth and to the ground for a shadow and a place for the giraffe to stand.
Added the Giraffe to my card front with foam tape.
Added some coordination enamel dots to card from for dimension
Voila ... THAT'S IT!

PBP & InkOn3 Collaboration - Blessings!

Oh happy day everyone!!

Today is another collaboration with Pear Blossom Press. This one is Pear Blossom Press and Ink on 3. It is an Instagram Hop, but I wanted to post here too in case you stumbled upon my blog and wanted to see more EZ-Light goodness.

As soon as I saw this amazing set from Ink on 3 called Blessings I knew that I wanted to light the cross up. I was going to put a sentiment on or in the card but decided against it. It can go for so many occasions that I wanted to leave it for the sender to write inside of it.

I paired the EZ Lights from Pear Blossom Press with the Blessings and the Posies stamp sets from Ink on 3.

This time instead of raising the whole card top with foam tape I only raised the cross so it was the focal point.

I attached the battery pack and the lights to the back of the cross. I added foam tape an that was it.

I added the push here before I added to my card. I loved how this creates such a focal point for the cross. It says so much without saying anything.

I wanted to show how the battery is nested behind the cross. A tiny bit shows on either side of the cross but not so much that it is a hindrance.

I finished it off by adding Liquid Pixie Dust to the cross. I think it was the perfect added dimension my card needed.

Here is one more look at my finished card with and without light. I think it might be one of my favorites at the moment. I love how soft and angelic this card is with the cross and its halo of light.

Hello everyone!

It's Niccole from Nic & Viv Designs back again to share a card I made using The Rabbit Hole Designs new stencils and stamp sets. The stencil is called Pumpkin Face and the stamp set is called Boo Kitty. They are the new mini release that went on sale this week.

How to create these cards:

Orange A2 card base
Black card stock trimmed to 4"x5.25"
Orange Glitz Gel with the Pumpkin Face Stencil on background
White heat embossed BOO sentiment from Boo Kitty on black background
Stamped, Copic colored, fussy cut Boo Kitty
Attached Boo Kitty with foam tape

TRHD Pumpkin Faces

Hello everyone!

It's Niccole from Nic & Viv Designs back again to share some cards I made using one of The Rabbit Hole Designs new stencils. It is called Pumpkin Face. It is part of their new mini release that went on sale today.

For today's card I used the

I only used the stencil today but, you can also get the stamp set that was released today along with the stencil.

Boo Kitty

How to create these cards:

Trimmed my black paper down to 5.25"x4"
Alcohol inked my black card stock
Stenciled my Pumpkin Face to my alcohol inked image
Glued black card stock to my colored A2 card base
Same process with other two cards
Ta'da! Done!

PBP & Pink n Main Collaboration - Hey Sugar!

Oh happy day everyone!!

It is collaboration day again ...

Today's collaboration is Pear Blossom Press and Pink & Main! I am so excited for today's card. I have been playing with alcohol ink again. Take a peak ...

Isn't that fun??? I knew as soon as I saw the Day of The Dead stamp set from Pink & Main that this was the route I was taking. I love it when something turns out better than what you anticipated in your head.

Here it is all lit up! So cool, huh? Keep reading for directions on how to make this fun card. I promise you it is not difficult at all. Plus ... these EZ Lights make it a breeze to assemble.

Ok ... let's get to the good stuff! I started my die cutting my Nara Black Alcohol Ink Paper. I wanted to die cut it first so that I didn't mar up my alcohol ink after it was applied by running it through my Gemini. I die cit it using the new slim line die called Beautiful Slim Line Die from Pink & Main. I used the larger frame for the white piece and the smaller frame on my Nara Black paper. From there I used my alcohol inks and wanted the wispy look to my rainbow colors.

While I made sure that it was completely dry ... I heat embossed my "Hey Sugar" sentiment from the Day of The Dead stamp set. I hand drew the "push here" sentiment as I wanted to keep the flow of the sentiment going on the bottom of the card as well. I layered both sentiments on white paper to make them stand out.

From here I started attaching my EZ Lights from Pear Blossom Press. I started by gluing down my battery pack so I had the buttons in the correct spot for the "push here" sentiment. No you are not seeing double. I used two set of EZ Lights on this card. I wanted to make sure I lit up all the Day of The Dead sugar skulls. I made sure the buttons were butted up together so when you pushed it they all lit up. It is always important to make sure your lights are working before you go any further with the assembly.

Once you know everything is working; now you can cut your holes for the light and wires to come through. I pushed again just to triple check that everything is A-ok!

I taped everything down once I knew it was perfectly placed where I wanted everything to go. It looks more complicated than it really is. I just like to make sure everything is taped down securely so once I start adding my foam tape it doesn't pull on anything.

Now that I taped the wires exactly where I wanted them and now I know everything is good and it is time to apply my Sugar Skulls from the Day of The Dead stamp set.

I Copic colored my skulls and cut them out with my Scan N Cut. I added small pieces of foam tape to the back making sure that most of the light still shown through. I applied the skulls and that is it! Now to attach it to my card base.

I cannot say enough about this Double Thick Foam Tape! It is a godsend ... the release paper comes off so easily. I may just start using it all the time for everything LOL. It is really "THAT" good; especially for interactive cards or even shaker cards! I'm tellin' ya ...

Anyways ... you want the double thick foam tape so that your button can work properly and it protects all of the "guts" of the EZ Lights card. Attach it to your card base and that is it ... You are done!!

I almost forgot ... I added Gold Glossy Enamel Dots to the card front for some added texture to the card. You can find them at Pink & Main as well.
