Ai - Gobble Gobble

Wednesday, October 16, 2019
Hello Ai fans!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I am sharing a card I made over on the Art Impressions blog using the Gobble Set.  It is a really fun action set.  It uses an Action Wobble.
I started with a standard A2 Kraft card base.  I added some Halloween chevron paper I had to the bottom portion of my card. I trimmed it with a thin piece of gold glitter paper. I then cut two identical pieces of gold card stock with the Circle Double Stitched Dies. I also cut two identical smaller circles from white cards stock.  I glued them together and to the front of my card and also on the inside of my card.
I Copic colored my two pieces of my turkey and fussy cut them out and added Wink of Stella to the feathers. I attached the turkey head to the front of my card with foam tape.
I attached the turkey butt with the Action Wobble to the inside circle.

I masked off my sentiment so I only stamped "Gobble" to the front of my card and then did the same on the inside to only say "til you Wobble." I finished off my card with some black enamel dots to the front.  I love how his little turkey butt wobbles when you open the card.
Here is one more look at the full card.  thank you so much for stopping by and spending a little time with me.  Please come back again soon to see what I am sharing next.

TRHD & Therm-O-Web Collaboration #2

Friday, October 11, 2019
Happy Friday everyone!

I am back with another collaboration post for The Rabbit Hole Designs and Therm-O-Web. This is my second blog post so if you missed the first one you can catch it ... HERE.

You can enter win $25 in Therm-O-Web product. Head on over to their website to find out how.

I am using another one of my favorite stamps from The Rabbit Hole Designs, which is Caffeinated Owl and the Candy Twist stencil. Both are available at Simon Says Stamp and at The Rabbit Hole Designs stores.

This is the Therm O Web Transfer Gel I used for my card along with the Deco Foil Blue Diamond Flock. This flock is so fun to use. It reminds me of those old black fuzzy posters you could color ... remember??

Now onto my card ...
Here is how I made this card:

1. Turn laminator on to really heat it up good
2. Cut and fold a black A2 card base
3.On another black card panel I used my stencil to apply
the Transfer Gel
4. I let the Transfer Gel dry. It's dry when it turns clear
5. Place flock fuzzy side DOWN (very important)
6. Put card with flock on it in carrier sheet
(I use a piece of copy paper folded in half)
7. Run through laminator
8. Peel flock away from card to reveal your FUZZY masterpiece
9. Cut oval to center front of flocked card panel
10. Save cut oval for another fun flocked project
11. Stamp, color, and cut out TRHD Caffeinated Owl image
12. Attach Caffeinated Owl with foam tape
13. Add clear gems around card

*** Make sure not to throw away the negative piece from your flock. You can definitely reuse it . I will be sharing a card really soon using the negative pieces from my foil and my flock.***
Doesn't this Blue Diamond Deco Foil Flock just make you happy? Like I said earlier ... its like one of those fuzzy posters we'd get as a kid and color.

Here is one more look at the full card. I just want to say ... If you have never played with flock; you really should try it. It is so much fun and there are so many possibilities when using Therm-O-Web products.

Ai - Someone Sweet

Wednesday, October 9, 2019
Hello Ai fans!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I am sharing a card I made over on the Art Impressions blog using the Cupcake BFF set.  I am always in need of birthday cards.
I started by Copic coloring my birthday gal with her cupcake. I cut her out and set her aside.  I cut a piece of black card stock a little bigger that my lady.  I then cut my gold glitter card stock a 1/4" bigger than my black piece.  I attached the back card stock to the gold piece.  I added my birthday gal to the black piece with foam tape.
I added Wink of Stella to my birthday gals top and to her cupcake.  I added a piece of red card stock to my white A2 card base.  I added a smaller piece of white card stock to the red piece and stamped my sentiment to the bottom right of the white card stock.
I added my gold finished piece to the white base at an angle.  I absolutely love how it turned out.  I finished it off with some purple/gray enamel dots.
Here is one more look at the full card.  Thank you so much for stopping by and spending a little time with me.  Please come back again soon to see what I will be sharing next.

Ai - Make It Sparkle Challenge with Barnyard Cubbies

Thursday, October 3, 2019
Hello Ai fans!!

I am here again with another challenge from Art Impressions.  This go-round is Make It Sparkle! It is showcasing our new Critter Cubbies
I am using the new Barnyard Animal Cubbies
I started by stamping and Copic coloring my barn and my critters.  I knew right away that I did not want to do the traditional red barn. I added my cloud stencil to the background, added my grass, and started adding all of my animals.  It is so fun playing with the animals and figuring where they should go.
Don't you love how all the doors open and the windows are cut out so you can add multiple things to your card?  The dies cut out the barn, the windows, and the doors so they can open.  It also cuts out all of the animals.  Talk about awesome bang for your buck!
I added some layers to my card by making my grass two layer.  I also added my two fence posts to the outer layer of grass so I could put animals behind the fence
Here is a look at the animals close-up.  I love that they all pop up some way or another.  I did trim a couple to make them fit in the window.  Others would have fit but I wanted certain one in certain spots.
Here is one more look at the card front.  I hope you enjoyed my take on the Make It Sparkle Challenge over on the Ai blog.  Hope on over you can win prizes, and who doesn't love a prize??

TRHD - Caffeinated Owl

Wednesday, October 2, 2019

Are you ready for day 3 of  The Rabbit Hole Designs October release?
I know I am!! This month is a great one!

They have released 7 new stamp sets and 6 new dies.
They will be sharing them over
these 3 inspirational days.

Today's stamp set is called Caffeinated Owl
I do have a card to share with you today using the Caffeinated Owl stamp set.

Here is a look at the images in the set:

Now onto my card ...
As you can see above ... I started with a standard A2 card in black.  I trimmed down a white panel.  I stenciled a pattern in orange ink. I stamped and Copic colored my owl image.  I raised him up with a wobbler, so he shakes.  I like to think of it like caffeine withdrawals LOL. I stamped my sentiment in the lower left corner.

As you can see; I added Liquid Pixie Dust to his eyes and to his coffee mug.  I finished it off by adding Judikins Diamond Glaze to his mug so it looks more realistic, like glass ... what do you think?

I thought the addition of the matching blue Nuvo drops just finished this card off nicely.  I have always loved orange and blue together.

Here is one more look at the finished card ... I think this little guy might be my favorite of this months release.  I just love him.  I have the perfect owl loving friend in mind for this card.

Now on to the fun stuff :-)

Ai - Christmas Wreath

Hello Ai fans!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I am sharing a card I made over on the Art Impressions blog using the Christmas Wreath set. I need to get started on my Christmas cards.  This is the first one I have made for the season. I better get crackin'!
I started by using a A2 card base.  I added some green foil paper that was cut down a 1/4".  I added a white card piece 1/4" smaller than the green foil piece. I stamped my "Merry Christmas" sentiment to the middle bottom of the top white piece.
I absolutely love that this set; Christmas Wreath, comes with the clear stamp set but also the dies to cut the wreath and the bow.  It also comes with the holly berries and a couple leaves too, but I did not use that stamps.
I stamped my wreath and cut it out with the die.  I did the same with the bow.  I Copic colored them and added Wink of Stella to the berries and the bow.  I glued the bow to the top center of my wreath.  I popped up the wreath on my card with foam tape.
I finished it off with some clean gems to glisten like snow. Voila ... that's it.  I love how simple but elegant the card looks.
Here is one more look at the full card.  Thank you so much for stopping by and spending a little time with me.  Please come back again soon to see what I am sharing.
