The Rabbit Hole Designs - Diamond Flower Stencil

Are you ready for day 3 of The Rabbit Hole Designs August release?
I know I am!! This month is a great one!

They released 2 new stamp sets over
the last 2 days and day 3 is FINALLY here ... STENCILS! Can you say ... YAY! There are four new stencils being released.

Today's stencil I am using is called Diamond Flower
I do have 2 cards to share with you today using the Diamond Flower Stencil.

Here is a look at the images of the stencil:

Here is my first card ...

I started my water coloring a rainbow onto my water color paper.  I trimmed it down.  Once dried I tapped my stencil on top of the water colored panel.  I added Glitz Glitter Gel in black to the panel.  I set it aside for a few hours to dry.  I wanted to make sure not to ruin my water color panel. I white heat embossed my sentiment to the bottom right corner (not to take away from my panel.)

I added my dried panel to a slightly larger white panel and glued it to my black card base.  I absolutely LOVE how this card turned out.  Don't you just love how the black Glitz Glitter Gel shimmers?  I want to try black on black next.

My second card ...

I stenciled yellow directly onto my card front.  I stenciled a second card front with pink.  I die cut a circle from the pink panel.  I raised up the pink stenciled piece with foam tape onto my yellow stenciled card base.  I colored my Narwhal with Copics and fussy cut her out.  I adhered her to my card front with glue.

As you can see I added Liquid Pixie Dust to her coffee in her cup.  I also added Liquid Pixie Dust to her eyes and to her horn.  I think Liquid Pixie Dust is quickly becoming my favorite accessory. I finished it off with a few pearl colored flat sequins.

Here they are together ... which is your favorite?

I love how both of them turned out.  Now onto all of the good stuff ...

Hello Spring Chicken!

Hello Ai fans!!

I am up on the Art Impressions blog today  sharing a card I made with the Spring Chicken set from Art Impressions!  I just love this set!  It is a lot of fun!

I started by layering my navy card base with a red poppy layer to create a frame. I die cut my green paper and set it aside.

I cut my watercolor paper down so the red paper framed it.  From there I used my ink and stenciled on my clouds.  I love how soft the clouds look when you make them this way. I glued my clouds down on the red paper and then added the green grass to the bottom.

I colored my chicken with my Copics.  I fussy cut it out and added it to my card. I glued the bottom portion and used foam tape on the top half of the chicken. I figured I would add numerous layer of Wink Of Stella to my springs to make them stand out instead of coloring those tiny areas.

Here is one more look at the whole card. I finished it off with some colored gems.  I love how easy this card was to make but yet it looks more difficult that it really is.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  We will see you again soon!

The Rabbit Hole Designs - Inky

Tuesday, July 30, 2019
Are you ready for day 2 of The Rabbit Hole Designs August release?
I know I am!! This month is a great one!

They released 2 new stamp sets; one yesterday
and one today are being featured.  This month they really knocked it out of the park in my opinion.

Today's stamp set I am using is called Inky
I do have 2 cards to share with you today using the Inky stamp set.

Here is a look at the images of the stamp set:

Here is my first card ..
.

I decided I wanted to a one layer card for this one.  I stamped my octopus first.  I then stamped y teal colored ink marks.  I like the sentiment "I ink you're great" so I stamped that in the upper left corner.

I finished it my Copic coloring my octopus.  I love how she turned out.  I finished the card off with some mirrored gems.

My second card ...

I started by layering some red and my top panel in white to my black card base.  I stamped my sentiment first and then my black smaller ink bots.

I stamped my octopus in the center of my card.  I was going to color him but I like how just adding Wink of Stella to his suction cups looked.  The only thing I wish I would have did differently is stamping to octopus first and my sentiment last.  Live and learn ... plus I think I will still send it. Any mistake is fixable.

Here they are together ... which is your favorite?

I hope you like what I have done with my two cards!  Now onto all of the good stuff ...

Monday, July 29, 2019
Are you ready for The Rabbit Hole Designs August release?
I know I am!! This month is a great one!

They are releasing 2 new stamp sets over
the next 3 days and you do not want to miss out on third day ...TRUST ME, I'm just sayin'!

Today's stamp set is called Sassy
I do have 2 cards to share with you today using the Sassy stamp set.

Here is a look at the images in the set:

Here is my first card ...

I trimmed down by top layer and I ink blended over my stencil.  I attached it to my colored card base.  I stamped my sentiment twice off center to give it a shadow like appearance.

I water-colored my unicorn and fussy cut him out.  I attached him to my card with foam tape.  I finished it off with some Liquid Pixie Dust.  Man I LOVE that stuff.  Doesn't it just shimmer?

My second card ...

My water -colored piece was the starting point for this card.  You can see the rest of my water-colored panel in a couple day (pssst its gorgeous.)  I added some silver glitter paper to the top and bottom of my water-colored piece.  I added at a diagonal for some visual texture to my card.  I stamped my sentiments at an angle to coincide with the rainbow water-colored panel.

I Copic colored my unicorn, added Liquid Pixie Dust to her and raised her up with foam tape.

Here they are together ... which is your favorite?

I love how both of them turned out.  Now onto all of the good stuff ...

For today's card I used the Pretty In Peony stamp set.

How to create this card:

  • Score three lines in paper 1/2' from edge of cut card front - this is for decoration
  • Stamp Thinking of You in lower left corner of card front
  • Add three gems
  • Stamp flower images on edge of 4 1/4' x 5 1/2" card
  • Mask off flowers and stamp leaves and buds
  • Copic color your image
  • Trim a sliver off non colored side so it lines up with card front when closed
  • Glue card front to colored panel
  • Add black strip of card stock

Ai - Animal Print Challenge

Thursday, July 25, 2019
Hello Ai fans!!

I am here again with another challenge from Art Impressions.  This round is Animal Print! I had so much fun making my card and my animal print paper. I didn't want to use the traditional Cheetah or Leopard print.  I wanted something a little different ... how'd I do?

 CHICKEN SCRATCH!!!!

From the Spring Chicken set.

I absolutely LOVE this chicken from the Spring Chicken set.  He is SO adorable.

I started by stamping the the chicken scratch randomly on my card stock to get my paper how I wanted it. I trimmed it down and added it to my white card base.

I Copic colored my chicken and fussy cut him out.  It is very hard to see but the springs just glisten.  Instead of trying to color those tiny lines. I used Wink of Stella, like 7 different times to get them to glisten like metal.

I added my chicken to the card with a Mini Action Wobble.  I thought it was only fitting being I stamped Poultry in Motion on the bottom left of the card under the chicken. You can see i finished it off with some orange Nuvo drops to add some additional color to my card.

Here is one more look at the card front.  I hope you enjoyed my take on the Animal Print Challenge over on the Ai blog.  Hope on over you can win prizes, and who doesn't love a prize??

Ai - Oh Frap!

Wednesday, July 24, 2019
Hello Ai fans!!

I am on the Ai blog sharing  a fun card I made using the Spring Chicken set from Art Impressions.  This set is so fun.  Head over to their blog to check it out!

The first thing I did was choose my stamps. I absolutely LOVE this chicken from the Spring Chicken set.  From there I chose my paper.

I colored my chicken with my Copic markers.  The list of colors I used is at the end of this post. I stamped my sentiment bottom center and I raised my chicken up with foam tape.

I wanted to show a close up so you could see all of the layers used.  There are seven layers of paper to this card.

Here is one more look at the card.  I added Wink of Stella to her glasses and her coffee and steam.  I was going to add Crystal Effects to her glasses but I though the Wink of Stella added just as much shimmer with out the dry time. I had a lot of fun putting this card together.  I even sat and put together a few backgrounds for future cards after all of the measuring. for each layer.

Copics used:
BG000
C0, C1, C3, C5
E41, E43
R20, R21, R22, R24, R27

Thank you so much for stopping by and spending some time with me.  Please stop back again soon.

Until next time ... Hugs & inky fingers!
