With Sympathy - Zinnia's

Friday, September 4, 2020
Oh happy day everyone!!

I am here today to share a sympathy card I made rather quickly.  I like it so much I might create a few in different colors to have on hand.

I started with a slim line white card base in the size of 3.5" x 8.5".  I die cut a black frame from the new dies set called Beautiful Slim Line Die from Pink n Main.  I LOVE this die set.  I cut the smaller shape out of white card stock.   I used Aqua Sky Ink from Concord & 9th to stencil the Zinnia's on.  I love how soft they are (in real life.)  I glued everything down to my card base.  From there I die cut the "With Sympathy"  from the Sympathy Slim Line Die from Pink n Main. I also cut out the shadow from vellum to soften the card up. I glued them to my card.  That was pretty much it, other than adding a few translucent enamel dots. I left the inside blank so you could add your own words of comfort.

Here is a close up of the vellum outline to my sentiment.  I think it really softens up the "With Sympathy" and by adding the translucent enamel dots around card it give it some dimension. I didn't want to make this card too busy because of the nature of the card.  I think it is a great balance between minimal and stylish.

Here is one more look at the full card.  I hope you love it as much as I do.  I really LOVE this Zinnia stencil ... don't be surprised to see it again soon.
